I have to admit that I’m not an expert Mom, nor do I play one on TV. But if I did, I’d like to be Modern Family’s Claire Dunphy. Her ability to delicately teeter between expressions of love for her kids and putting them right in their place is impressive. If I can make my teens question my crazy rants, nagging nature and menial punishments yet still have them love me at the end of the day, that’s a success! Not every day will end with a kiss and an “I love you.” That’s okay.
